Amateur question, I know.
I have a small 5v power supply for my breadboard. When I power the arduino (through the +5v pin) from it, no problem. But is it an issue to keep it connected to the +5v pin, when I also connect the USB from my PC? It all seems to work, but I want to make sure I'm not potentially going to damage anything.
What's the issue? Post an image of the issue.
I'm asking if there is an issue connecting from both USB power and a separate power supply to +5v pin.
I've not encountered an issue with Uno's or Mega's or Due's or STM32's or ESP32's or a Raspberry Pi connecting power to both the USB and the 5V in pin. If you'd look on the schematics, you might see a power steering diode.
