Powering Arduino Uno

Hey there,

I recently bought a Arduino Uno R3 without a power source. But I already have a power source for other applications. It's a 24V (max. 10 A) source (TDK Lambda SWS 300). Now I bought a 24V -> 5V DC Converter.

Is it now possible to connect these parts with a USB-B cable and power my arduino with it?

Yes it is: 1.) You can plug wires from dc/dc converter directly to +5V and GND or 2.) You can sloder your own power usb cable
