Powering Servos

I have a project with 2 servos that when connected to a rc receiver running on a 7.2v 3000mah NiMH battery the servos are strong enough for my needs, but when I connected it to a R4 Minima, it wasn't nearly enough. Even when I used a generic 5v power supply module that didn't cut it. But I want to refrain from using a battery that has to be charged. What should I do? Thank you!

Did you draw the servo power from a pin on the R4 or directly from the power supply ?

Diagram needed, as well as what gear you have + links to datasheet doesn't hurt.

Power the servos with 6V5A power supply and you are good to go.

This is a diagram I made on Tinkercad, I don't really have other software for schematics, and the board and servos are here on amazon. Amazon.com

I used both methods, neither worked, but the schematic above is using the power supply.

So something like this? This specific one seems good because it also has the bare wire adapter. Should I power it through the Arduino with the barrel plug (I think it may be too much power) or use the adapter and power it like in the schematic? Amazon.com

Like your circuit on post#5.
But since we don't know anything about your servos, especially how much current they draw, I suggest you to do direct wiring without breadboard. Breadboards are not built for high currents.

My servos were in the link above, here it is. Amazon.com
It runs from 4.8 to 7.2 volts, 7.2 volts having 13 kg-cm, the optimal torque.

From Amazon's page:
"(Recommended voltage: 5V, current usage: 3A )."
Maybe you need an 8 Amp adapter.

I think this is the best way to go, thanks everyone!
