Hello everyone,
I have a little project of my own, I was hoping to transmit data over the regular AC power line built into my house.
Belkin and Dlink both have devices that can network over power lines, aswell as the home automation standards x10 and Universal Powerline Bus(UPB).
So ive done a little research and havnt come up with much, but that its either done by using PPM or PWN.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Ive seen plenty of things on PPM with things like remote controls,
but ive never seen anyone do it over 120v AC.
It's one of those things that if you have to ask then you haven't got the skill to do it safely.
Having said that there are a number of application notes about. You don't use PWM or PPM by the way. Information is modulated over a high frequency carrier.
Lots of links on the web, try this one about a kit:- http://www.pcw.co.uk/personal-computer-world/news/2159385/200mbit-mains-network-kit
