"Show verbose output during:"

checking/unchecking compile has no effect

checking/unchecking upload seems to do what compile was meant for, but has no effect on uploads

checking/unchecking Verify code after upload has no effect

Select **Sketch > Upload** from the Arduino IDE's menus. **Expected behavior:** verbose output from the compilation process is displayed. verbose output from the upload process is not displayed. **Actual behavior:** 🐛 no verbose output is displayed. 1. My investigation showed that the behavior is a little bit different from what you report.

The verbose compilation output settings are only applied when compiling, and are completely ignored while uploading.

The verbose upload output setting are only applied when uploading, and are applied to both the compilation and the upload output.
