Can the arduino bootloader be programmed on more than just the atmega328, atmega168, and atmega8? Such as the attiny2313 or the attiny8 (attiny in general)? And if it can, does anyone know where they can be purchased preprogrammed?

Arduino bootloader takes about 2K of memory. attiny2313 has 2K memory in total. Even if someone adapted it, there would be no room for the main app, wouldn't it?
