Pressure pads playing animations on 2.5x2.0m screen

There is going to be a large screen (LED) (w)2.5 (h)2.0

  • In-front of that wall there could be 3 pressure pads / remote sensors.
  • We need to get the pressure pads / sensors to activate separate animations that would be then shown on the large screen making the whole experience an interactive one.

Can this be done using Arduino?
I have no experience using Arduino so would i need to employ a freelancer, can anyone point me in the right direction in that respect?

Many thanks
Rich

Can this be done using Arduino?

Maybe. Maybe not.

2.5 Angstroms? 2.0 Light years?

Could be? Or will be?

What is going to be making the animations happen?

I don't know about "free"lancers, but you can advertise jobs in Gigs and Collaboration. Please provide many more details there than you did here.

The animations would be activated when a person stands on a pressure pad.

There are 4 animations in total. One for each pad. Then one idle animation on repeat for when nobody is standing on any of the pads.

I say pads/sensors because It would be preferable to used pressure pads so you can walk on them and there is a more physical feedback with a pressure pad. But I know it can be done with an ultrasonic rangefinder which could be mounted above a specific spot.

The pads aren't an issue for most microcontrollers but what sort of display did you have in mind?

Is this a big screen TV type display?

Okay, so its good news with the pads

The screen is going to be a full colour LED screen

Here's a "full color LED screen". I also have a new 23" full color LED screen for my computer.

The specific screen (pixel count color depth) is important in determining what sort of processor you'll need.

What sort of animation do you want to display? This sort of animation? Or this sort? Or a Pixar animation? These details are also important.

Right so i think its going to be this style of animation + Labs | Animation Studio

On a large screen like this http://fonix.co.uk/

From your feedback, i'm starting to think that its too much to demand from an Arduino
