There is going to be a large screen (LED) (w)2.5 (h)2.0
In-front of that wall there could be 3 pressure pads / remote sensors.
We need to get the pressure pads / sensors to activate separate animations that would be then shown on the large screen making the whole experience an interactive one.
Can this be done using Arduino?
I have no experience using Arduino so would i need to employ a freelancer, can anyone point me in the right direction in that respect?

2.5 Angstroms? 2.0 Light years?

Could be? Or will be?

I don't know about "free"lancers, but you can advertise jobs in Gigs and Collaboration. Please provide many more details there than you did here.
The animations would be activated when a person stands on a pressure pad.
There are 4 animations in total. One for each pad. Then one idle animation on repeat for when nobody is standing on any of the pads.
I say pads/sensors because It would be preferable to used pressure pads so you can walk on them and there is a more physical feedback with a pressure pad. But I know it can be done with an ultrasonic rangefinder which could be mounted above a specific spot.
