Price Embedded Barcodes

Good Day

I need help!

Im building a scale that prints a label that contains a few fields, Date, Price per KG, Total Price, Item Description and so on bit the thing im having problems with is as follows:

Now when the item is weight and the user enters the price per kg on the keypad, the scale will calculate the total price based on what the item costs per kg and then the system must generate a standard barcode that is in a certain format basically the bar code must now contain the product code and the total price so that when the point of sale system reads the bar code it must recognize the product code to lookup the product and read the price so that it knows what the total price is of the item!

This barcode containing all this details must be printed on a label that will be stuck to the item

This is basically how a standard pricing scale work it must work like that

Can someone help

Thank you

I am guessing that you are testing as you write the program, so, what are you having problems with?

Paul

I'm dis-inclined to bother opening that pile of pics, so why don't you bring them into the thread?

Here's how to get an image into a post

Creating a barcode is not a trivial thing, which is why there are a number of specialist companies who do it. They know their way round the myriad of symbologies and standards, and have already created the functions that do the hidden stuff like calculating checksums and parities and so on, and they know what stuff goes in what field so that the next station down the line can actually read the thing.

This might not be the best part of the forum for this. If you want it moved, click Report to Moderator and ask them to move it to (say) Project Guidance. Or maybe Gigs and Collaborations: there may be a bar-code specialist on the forum who could do it for a fee.
