Pro Duo memory sticks and Arduino?

I'm going to take a guess judging from the pure lack of google search results that there is no way of using a Pro Duo memory stick with a Arduino for data logging?

Actually !

I am in a position where the only sd card I have is the one in my camera, but I have many variety of memory stick pro duo from my years of owning a sony psp

Looking into "it", it appears to be almost identical to SD in its most basic form, ie toggling memory bits (like a eprom, not fat filesystem), and believe that the information contained in this thread with little translation could be useful

I have made a breakout socket out of a MSPD (small) to MSP (large) adapter, but I need to wait till the weekend before I can try it

and the document I am working from

Excellent!

I await the weekend as i have a stack of Pro Duo cards left over from my PSP!!!

Hey, if you could get that working it'd be amazing! I'd love to see a Duo library! ;D

Hah! Me too ;D!

anny progress ? i have 7 memory sticks to try/screw up :stuck_out_tongue: since my psp1000 died on me.

I have it figured out electrically and I have its command signal sequence almost memorized, but the document I have cuts off at the command reference so right now its a brick

:frowning:

its also a little more involved than SD since the bus is bi-directional, and SD is just cheap

so no further luck with Pro Duo?
I've also couple of those laying around and I am planning to make a simple Duemilanove temperature logger.... so it would be great, if i don't have to buy extra SD / MMC card...
