Recently purchased this board for a project from a youtube video Analog Handbrake for Racing Sims. While waiting for other parts to arrive I plugged in the pro micro using a micro usb cable that came in my amazon order to test. There was no driver recognition popup and I figured it was waiting on drivers to be installed with the IDE. I've installed the Arduino IDE which came with some drivers I assume but the board still will not pop up as a device on my pc. I've tried several usb 2.0 ports on my computer
You may be using a charge-only or defective USB cable. Test the cable on a different device to verify that it works for data.
