Pro Mini 5V 16MHz not accepting any sketch.

Yesterday I bought an Arduino Pro Mini, but it doesn't seem to accept any sketches.

I connect it via an Arduino Uno, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I would be really grateful if you could help me with that issue. I've followed every tutorial I came across in the Internet, but I can't find what's wrong. The Pro Mini blinks, but the error is still there, regardless of the sketch I try to upload. Any clues?

Sorry, I forgot to add it. I have tried two main connection methods, but the one I'm trying right now is this one.

Still not a easy picture/image...

But to do it with a Uno.
remove chip from Uno
Connect:
Rx to Rx
Tx to Tx
Rst to Rst
Vcc to 5V
GND to GND
Select the COM of the Uno
Select Pro Mini as target device
Upload the normal way

If it still fails you can try to select Uno as target device.

Still no luck? Try to reburn the bootloader. Google how to do so. Pro tip, burn the Uno bootloader. It's smaller en faster :slight_smile:

No success in both cases :frowning: I'm ordering a new ATMega for my UNO, just in case it has something to do with it. I'll keep you updated...

No, it has nothing to do with it. Because the ATmega should NOT be in the Uno when you try to program a Pro Mini...

What's the status of the loop back test?
