Probems loading the board

Hello All,
I am new here and have very little to no expierence about Arduinos.

I recently bought Arduino Leonardo. I am having problems with installations...

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 When I connect my board I could see the green ON light and slow blinking of
But I dont see the board in the drop down list in the software. There is only one port /dev/ttyACM0.

When I first installed, I did see once Arduino Leonardo and did completely loading blink example.
I had not connected anything so I simply closed it later thought of running again. But Now I dont get the board name in the drop down list, but I could see other board names in it. I read that we dont need to install the drivers for linux.

I was having problems with Win 7 too. But their I do get the list...but getting buffer memory access error which I looked on internet which has no concrete soln. Neverthess even if ubuntu works its fine...

Let me know if any more info is reqd

Thanks
Sachin

The port is correct "/dev/ttyACM0". But this is the PORT, not the BOARD.

Thanks for that quick response luisilva ...
But I know its port, I wanted to tell what is the status. My question was why dont I see arduino leonardo as option in the board list...I dont see neither arduino leonardo nor micro...:frowning:
Is there any work around for if this is a bug...

Sachin

A printscreen of that menu will help seeing what is going on there.

Hi Luisilva,
Thanks for supporting...
I figured out that if I double click and run... I see full list...if I try from terminal ... I dont see the full list....
So I could find the workaround...Its not blocking me but I wonder why this difference...

I would also try to find the windows problem now...as I rather perfer to work with windows...
I get the same error as "Buffered memory access not supported"
I would try all the options already mentioned here and come back if I fail...
