Hello, i just bought this fingerprint module. I'm using arduino uno and library from adafruit fingerprint and uploaded the example enroll sketch. But my problem is my fingerprint module doesn't detected in program.
The LED blink once just when i plug it on my pc. After that the led's not blink or turn on anymore. I dunno the type of this fingerprint module, but here's pic of the sensor : http://i.ebayimg.com/images/i/191195264746-0-1/s-l1000.jpg
Is my module broken? Or there's something more to make this thing work?
Can you please provide a link to the device, rather than a picture of it and post a diagram of your circuit (hand drawn is OK) and the program that you are running, using code tags when you post it.

i found the fingerprint i bought in ebay, here the link
here's my wiring diagram
and here's code i used for the test (Adafruit fingerprint enroll example) :

Well It's not a problem with your adafruit code it is because you are using Single stand wire for connection , Use thin Multi stand wires for connecting your wires with arduino. (Cut Male-to-male connector into half and Connect those cut ends with the sensor wires, and the male connection to arduino) [i had same problem recently, i did same and it worked..!]

I confirm, I solved reconizing problem with this tip!
. I'm using arduino uno and library from adafruit fingerprint and uploaded the example enroll sketch. But my problem is my fingerprint module doesn't detected in program.
I have tried every thing soldered the wires to the uno itself but still it's not detecting in the code the led just blinked and goes off Everytime I connect the board to my laptop
presumably because you could not post to the old locked thread
If you have the same problem as the locked thread and need help please start a new one giving full details
