I am running a MacBook Air with High Sierra and all works fine except I cannot upload a sketch as no Port is found. I installed the Plugin and see the icon on top of the screen, but during the Plugin installation I received the message that the installer ended the installation. I don't know wether with or without success.
I tried the boards Uno, Mega and Nano, with all the same problem. This problem I have also with the normal Arduino IDE. Can somebody help?

There are a few posts regarding MAC installs some of which IIRC needed elevated privileges in some form.
Not a mac person myself, so cannot really help much more than that and suggesting some extra reading.
Fact that you also have issues with the regular IDE backs up root permissions possibility.
For that there are many posts in the regular troubleshooting section on the topic.
High Sierra does seem to have suffered more from the issue. so you may want to use that when you use the search at the top right of the screen.
