Problem Uploading Sketch on my Arduino / Genuino Zero

Hi! I am using a Mac Book Air (Intel Core i5) (OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.3). I am trying to upload a basic sketch to an Arduino/Genuino Zero and i get the following error message.

Arduino: 1.6.5 (Mac OS X), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

Sketch uses 1,030 bytes (3%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2,039 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00

Also i notice that the board name appears as Arduino/Genuino Uno but not Arduino/Genuino Zero.

You might have realised that i am rather a beginner:) Would appreciate a lot if anyone has suggestions.

Best!

Can you select Tools > Board > Arduino/Genuino Zero(Programming Port)?

Yes i did actually.

I tried again, exactly in the same way. This time i got a different Error Code:

Sketch uses 8,156 bytes (3%) of program storage space. Maximum is 262,144 bytes.
