option enabled in File -> Preferences.

You are not the first to have this problem.

Do a search on this forum, and you will be amazed at the others who have encountered this problem much as you like to think you are "special".

In fact I have the same problem with an Arduino Mega. It was working OK and all of a sudden it started to give the problem. I have no idea how to go around it! Suggestions are very much appreciated.

Send the code and let us know what is going on ??
Are you using the expansive one or the cheapest ??
Have you connected the right port??
Have you connected the right board??
And I have a suggestion if the problem is in compiling the arduino open the device manager then open ports it will show an unknown device. That one is your arduino board but you should define it.
answer those questions then reply us.
