Problem uploading

When I try to upload to the board it displays this error message

avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\.\COM1": The system cannot find the file specified.

I'm using a Genuino/UNO with Windows 7,

also the port option in the tools bar is shaded out.

You need to identify the USB-to-serial chip on your board and upload the appropriate driver for it. The USB-to-serial chip is the square or rectangle chip near the USB port of the Arduino. You may need a magnifying glass.
