Problem with arduino uno and hootloader2

I loaded a bootloader onto my Arduino Uno R3 using Atmel Flip. Once I did that, I was no longer able to load anything onto the Arduino Uno as it is not detected by the Arduino IDE. I tried updating the drivers and changing the USB cables but I don’t know what else to do. If anyone can help me, thank you very much.

Welcome to the forum

Exactly how did you go about uploading the bootloader ?

Maybe this helps: How to use reset · NicoHood/HoodLoader2 Wiki · GitHub.

Note:
I'm not familiar with HoodLoader2.

i followed this video https://youtu.be/Nvfmg-M5Gc8?si=lgWsP34P_GYD7toq
In summary, I used the Atmel Flip software and selected my device (ATmega16U2) and loaded a file (Hoodloader1.8.hex), and once the USB connection was made, I uploaded it.

Now Arduino IDE does not detect my device and I can’t upload anything.

Hi @damiano04. Are you still able to upload firmware to the ATmega16U2 using the Atmel FLIP software?
