Problem with COM5

Hello

My Arduino has COM5 and always says can't open device "\.\COM2->COM3": and I select the correct port and Aduino (UNO).

My OS is Windows 7, 64 bits and browser is Chrome Versión 49.0.2623.87 m.

WOA this looks really wrong! Thank you so much for reporting this.

A few questions to help us debug this issue:

  • are you using an original UNO board or a compatible?
  • what happens when you connect your board to your PC via serial, do you get a notification on the top right of the IDE?

You should be seeing just ONE Uno and it should be recognised as a UNO not as a generic board.

It would be really helpful if you could post in this thread the output of the plugin, reachable from the tray icon (see attachment).
