I'm trying to create a home security camera with the ESP 32 cam, so I bought some from different store. I wanted to check if every cam that i have worked so I started by trying the esp32 example by espressif CameraWebServer, and the first time every device worked. But after the first upload, the device doesn't work properly anymore. Even if I try again the same example it doesn't work. Every time I set the boot mode with the MB, I upload the code and everything seams to work well until after the last reset the ESP32 cannot communicate with the cam. As anyone any solution or suggestion? I can't find my way out.
I spent a week testing about a dozen ESP32-MB units and had many failures to upload. I did find that the MB boards were mostly, if not all, flawed in that the BOOT button was not wired to the pin, but now I wonder if I had a switch problem. I ended up using an FTDI rig to verify that the cameras were indeed ok. I also discovered one cable that was intermittent.
