I made an Arduino project which controls the rotation of a 220 volt AC universal motor using 2 relays. The project is actually a controller of a honey extractor
It works fine except of some times that the lcd appears incomprehensible characters and the procedure seems to be stuck. I need to reset it so then it works fine.
Does anyone has an idea why this happens?
There are hundreds of possible causes for your problem, you only named a few. I have seen a lot of them. Start by being sure none of the wires going to the Arduino are over 10", the shorter the better. Go to solid state relays with zero crossing. All power wires must be at 90 degrees with logic wires, etc.
At this point I think your code is OK. If you want a good answer post an annotated schematic showing exactly how this is wired include all connections, power, ground, and power sources. Also post links to technical information on all of the hardware devices.
Thanks a lot. I was thinking too that the mess woth the wires maybe is the problem. Do you think that if I replace the most of the wires with a printed pcb will be an improvement?
Always show us a good schematic of your proposed circuit.
Show us good images of your ‘actual’ wiring.
Give links to components.
I know that you cant see. I will post some photos and the schematic as soon as possible. Sorry to bother you
