Problem with IR reception

Hi!

I'm new in Arduino and I'm interested to use IR for a project.

I am using an IR receiver VS1838B (image: http://m4.sourcingmap.com/photo_new/20110906/g/ux_a11090600ux0332_ux_g03.jpg), an Arduino Mega ADK, and a simple control (image: http://i00.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/097/924/523/523924097_126.jpg)

I'm using the example IRrecvDemo of the library IRremote.h.

My problem occurs when I open the serial monitor, when pressing any of the buttons of the control I get the same code .

What can i do?

IRrecvDemo only produces an answer if the remote uses one of the four recognized formats: Sony, NEC, RC5, and RC6. For all other remotes use IRrecvDump.

Pictures of your hardware, even if I could see them, are useless. You did not connect a picture of the hardware to the Arduino. Post a link to the device, not a picture of it.
