I noticed when I logged in yesterday with my accounts AndyH-1963 that this now logs me in as AndyInSurrey! I have just logged in from another PC with my account: AndyH-1963 and again I'm logged in as AndyInSurrey. Would you please resolve this.
wildbill:
Did you try clearing your Arduino cookies (or all of them)?
Yes, cleared cookies, and I log in as AndyH-1963 and my username when logged in now is AndyInSurrey. When logging in as AndyH-1963 a few days ago all was fine, but during the last 3-4 days something has happened to link the two accounts. I haven't changed anything this end.
As I asked a yesterday, would it be easier for you to delete BOTH accounts completely, and I can then setup another fresh account?
We have another user with a very similar issue and simply deleting the account has not worked for them.
It is currently being chased up the ladder as we speak.
My own suspicion is that the old account was not fully purged from the system ( beyond my control ) before the new one was properly propagated.
EDIT
It is possible to just CREATE a new account but it must NOT contain ANY of the prior account information.

There may be occasions when coming in from a new IP ADDRESS is also helpful
NB. For anyone else coming across this info please note that you should ask a moderator to DELETE your old account afterwards as having two accounts is frowned upon and may lead to accidental suspensions, bans or other actions.

Hi Andy just a suggestion but if you open an issue using this form it will open an OFFICIAL support ticket and now may be a really good time to do it while the issue is still hot.
It does take SEVEN days for the system to purge an account in case the user needs to be brought back into the system.
This often prevents the creation of a new account within that period.
There are plans to allow those with the correct permissions to over ride that 7 day period but it has not yet been implemented.
However in your case Andy they will purge from the bowels of the system on Monday for you.
I appreciate you patience as we try to get these foibles fixed.

Bob.
Thank you. I had create a support ticket after your last msg. I'll wait until next week.
NP I asked them to tag your ticket onto the other users ticket so all good.
Multiple tickets also help push some things up the ladder too, much like opening github issues.
