Problem with my oscilloscope :/ Any help with troubleshooting appreciatedat

Hello,
I have an Owon SDS5032e 2ch. scope for a few years now. Works well and has worked great up until yesterday.

I bought a better probe, which are 100% compatible with my scope. They worked flawlessly and better than the stock probes from day 1. I got super clear and square lines adjusting the attenuation...perfect.

I walked away for an hour or 2 with the scope ON.
Later, when I powered it ON right after the boot up screen it completely froze. None of the function buttons would work. I could get a few functions to work within a few seconds...but it always ends up freezing.
I thought maybe it got hot, so let it cool down a couple of hours(hehe) but still get the freeze right after the boot up.
Checked fuses, power supply output voltages(which all were OK).
Still not working

*Also when I first turn the scope ON, I hear a series of clicks. I heard them before but now they seem to do it more (when starting up)

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thomas

Sounds like the logic board took a hit.

One of the downsides to digital scopes is that they are virtually non-repairable. If you don't have a duplicate scope to troubleshoot, you are going to have a hard time finding which ICs are on the logic board have failed.

Trust him... He knows O-Scopes.
