Problem with new bought Arduino 2560R3

Hello,

I just bought an arduino 2560 R3. I connected my arduino properly and tried to run the blink test. It pops me an error

avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout

After googling and searching the forum, I saw that this is a frequent problem. My problem is that when I try the loopback test, it doesn't echo back. I do not know what to do

Thank you for your reply. The correct drivers were installed, and the device manager correctly recognizes the arduino. That's not the problem. Also, at arduino program, I have configured the tools to the mega2560 and the correct comm.

It's not a matter of drivers at least from the computer side
