Problem with the ssd 1963 7 inches

Hello!
I have a problem with my lcd SSD1963. 7 inches
When I push in the screen in the same point repetitively, the screen doesn't work fine.
For example, if I push 5 times in a keyboard designed, in one number, probably one of the times other number will be set.....

Anyone have ever had this problem?
Any solution?

Thanks

Did you try setting myTouch.setPrecision(PREC_HI);or

myTouch.setPrecision(PREC_EXTREME);

?

This does make touch response much slower, but hopefully more accurate.

Regards,

Graham

Yes, I've tried it, but this is not the problem.... because it happened the same...

I don“t know if it is a problem of my TFT or it's usually happens with the 7 inches tft...

Are you using an external power supply also?

Have you tried dumping the touch values to serial monitor? How much variation are we talking about? If you are getting valid results MOST of the time, with the OCCASIONAL 'glitch' that is normal.

Graham

PS. I assume you HAVE done the calibration?

Yes, I'm using an external power supply.

In my opinion, it happens more than I expect to be normal....
For example in the Utouch library, when i download a sketch with a keypad, if i push 5 times the key 1, sure that at least one of the times another key will be pushed.......

Maybe it happens because is a resistor tft??
Is better a capacitive tft???

To be honest my display is only 5", if i use my finger I get errors sometimes, but if I use some sort of stylus, I have no problems, are you using your finger to press the screen?

Graham

using a stylus i detect less errors, but I select a 7 inches tft to use the finger, because the requirements need the finger to control the screen :stuck_out_tongue:

:frowning: :frowning:

All i can suggest then is that you make your own routine reading the raw x and y values, and do some sort of averaging....
