I connected my ARDUINO UNO Q to IDE 2.3.8,in a Windows 11 PC,with USB plug.
I selected arduino uno Q,port COM 12 in the IDE ad uploaded the sketch."blink" from examples.
The uploading went ok,but no led on the board blinked.
What can be the problem ?
Previously I connected the board to a monitor with the interfaces in the box,ad all went ok,
the board connected with my router WiFi and I connected the web with the browser

Does the LED\_BUILTIN blink from App Lab?

I did not yet tested with App Lab.
I connected the board to a monitor with HDMI interface, and it worked well, like a raspberry.
It connected with internet by my router WiFi.
But i think that this board can be used also with a IDE 2.3.8,like a simple Arduino UNO.
And the only test I made, with a very simple sketch ,"blink",from the list of examples of the core, did not work, even if the upload was ok.

Do you used it by IDE 2.3.8 ?

**1.** Connect UNO Q with your PC. Use App Lab and upload Blink LED app. Check that LED\_BUILTIN led blinks. Report yes/no.

**2.** Close App Lab

**3.** Use IDE 2.3.8 and upload Blink LED sketch from IDE example. Check that LED\_BUILTIN led blinks. Report yes/no.

**4.** If `Step-3` does not work, tell me the present states of the ---
Version of Arduino UNO Board Package
Version of Arduino\_RouterBridge.h

About two weeks ago, my newly purchased UNO Q was blinking led under App Lab and not under IDE 2.3.8 Windows 10. I upgradeded Arduino Board Package to Version 0.55.0 and RouterBridge to Version 0.4.1 and then led started blinking.

I used App Lab with Blink LED app,and all worked well.
The red LED blinked.
After,I deactivated App lab,and activated IDE 2.3.8,and uploaded Blink sketch.
And the LED did NOT worked.
Sorry for my incompetence ,but please, can you explain how can I verify the version
of Arduino UNO board package and
Arduino\_RouterBridge.h ?
And update them ?
Thank you !

I am very much sure that the the execution of following steps will make your UNO Q fit to blink LED\_BUILTIN:
**1.** Close App Lab
**2.** Connect you UNO Q with PC.
**3.** OPen IDE 2.3.8.
**4.** Wait until the board is detected by PC.
**5.** Perform: Tools ---\> Board: ---\> Arduino UNO Q Board ---\> Arduno UNO Q
**6.** Perform: Tools ---\> Port ---\> COMX (Arduino UNO Q)
**7.** On the left-top of the IDE window, click on this icon. A small window with blinking cursor will appear with this name at the top: BOARDS MANAGER
 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/arduino/original/4X/c/c/7/cc7da48a875305535436e41a878251ff0ed042bb.png)
**8.** Type Arduino UNO Q in the small window, the following will appear:

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/arduino/original/4X/9/b/a/9ba04d7ca4119162846ddb2badef5875def9441e.png)
**9.** Slecet 0.55.0 and click on **INSTALL**.
**10.** Once, installation of the Board Package, click on this icon.
 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/arduino/original/4X/b/2/5/b25b7750ad43cad1eacbf8f6f0b6e9d24958190c.png)
**11.** Again, a small window with blinking cursor will appear with this name at the top: LIBRARY MANAGER
**12.** Type Arduino\_Router..., the following will appear:
 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/arduino/original/4X/8/5/7/85705f759992e76ffdd85139afedb4058fe6fb5d.png)
**13.** Select 0.41.0 and click on INSTALL.
**Note:** A prompt will come like this: **INSTALL ALL**. You respond saying **Yes**.
**14.** After installation, open LED\_BLINK sketch and upload it. The led should blink like a charm. If not, there is another tonic for your board.

Good luck!

Thank you,you are very kind, but I verified,as you told me,and all the parameters were ALREADY the same you showed me .
I also executed all the upgrades the App lab suggested, changed only something in the
graphic, but the led continud to work only with App Lab.

Hi @Laverdure. After updating the " **Arduino UNO Q Board**" platform via Arduino IDE, you must perform a "Burn Bootloader" operation. If you don't do that after updating the platform to the latest version 0.55.0, then the uploaded sketch does not run.

I'll provide instructions you can follow to do that:

1. If you downgraded your installation of the " **Arduino UNO Q Board**" platform, use the Arduino IDE [Boards Manager](https://docs.arduino.cc/software/ide-v2/tutorials/ide-v2-board-manager) to update it back to 0.55.0.
2. Connect the UNO Q board to your computer with a USB cable.
3. Select the serial port of the UNO Q from Arduino IDE's **Toolls \> Port** menu.
4. Select **Tools \> Programmer \> OpenOCD** from the Arduino IDE menus.
5. Select **Tools \> Burn Bootloader** from the Arduino IDE menus.
Arduino IDE will perform a "Burn Bootloader" operation.
6. Wait for the "Burn Bootloader" operation to finish successfully.

Now upload the sketch to the board once again. Hopefully this time it will work as expected.

thank you very much !
Now the led is blinking.
But there is something strange : if I select Tools\>Firmware Updater,in the display I see
"No supported board connected."(The board connected was Arduino Uno Q)
I verified with another board,an Arduino Uno R4 WiFi,and the system recognized it.
Is it normal ?

Now I have another problem.
I Updated App Lab,but now it is not working well,i tried to uninstall it with the file "uninstall"
in the directory arduino app lab,but every time i try to install it again it seems to be already in the PC,and does not work well.
How can I unistall I ?
My windows is windows 11.

Great news!

> [@Laverdure](#):
>
> Is it normal ?

Yes. Arduino IDE's [" **Firmware Updater**" feature](https://docs.arduino.cc/software/ide-v2/tutorials/ide-v2-fw-cert-uploader#firmware-updater) is used to update the custom firmwares of the supplemental present on specific Arduino boards. The **UNO Q** does not have such a module, so the **Firmware Updater** feature is completely irrelevant for this board.

I assume the only reason you are trying to uninstall is in hopes that would somehow fix the "not working well" problem. Unless you truly do want to permanently uninstall Arduino App Lab, our time will be better spent focusing on fixing the "not working well" problem, rather than on accomplishing a pointless uninstall.

Please provide a detailed description of what you mean by "not working well".
Make sure to include the following information:

- What did you do?
- What were the results you expected from doing that thing?
- What were the results you observed that did not match your expectations?

If you encountered any errors or warnings, please provide the full and exact text of those messages.

My UNO Q was not blinking LED 2.3.8 and Windows 10. Then I upgraded Board Core to 0.55.0 to make the LED blinking. I did not perform "Burn Bootloader" operation. Any explanation?

IN Program Files/Arduino/arduino App Lab I found only 2 files :Arduino app lab.exe
and uninstall.exe.
I executed uninstall.exe, and the directory was empty.
Then executed ArduinoAppLab 0.7.0\_Windows\_x86-64\_installer,and in the directory i found
again the two files.
I started the app,and inserted the board in the USB.
After some seconds it showed the name i gave previously to the board, and the date (correct) of last connection.
If i click, the page of examples appear.
If i select "blink", and click "run",it start the compilation, but every time ,after some seconds,
appear :Error:failed to write memory at 0x00000000.
I think that I cannot repeat the installation from the beginning because some data remain in the board.
Is correct ?
Can I reset the board ?
I found this site where is explained how to reset,do you think it can be dangerous ?

If you play around with UNO Q without knowing what you want to achive, it is sure that you will end up with a non-functional board and then there will be none here in this forum to help you to recover the board. Just follow standard ptactices of operation and programmng,

Have you placed a plastic base underneath your board so that no mettalic stuff can enter under the board and make short circuits?

Why are you exploring the Program Files folder?

I checked the folder because wanted be sure that all the files were erased.
I took some time to understand that, with Arduino Q,part of the system is in the board.
I think that the only thing to do is execute the instructions and reload the system in the board, because the problem must be there .
Have you any different idea ?
