Problem with upgrading firmeware of XBee module

Hello!

My project group and I are working with Arduibo boards and XBee modules in our spring project and have now come across some problems when modifying the XBee modules.

Two newly orderd work perfectly but on two old ons (ordered in November) don't.

We are not able to:

  1. Update them with new firmware.
  2. Alter their current firmware parameters.

We are, however, able to:

  1. Restore the default firmeware parameters.
  2. Read the current firmeware parameters.
  3. Test / Query them.

We are using:

  1. X-CTU ver 5.1.4.1
  2. XBee XB24-ACI-001 rev B
  3. XBee to USB adapter

Help is very appreciated.

EDIT:

We did manage to solve this issue by downgrading X-CTU to 5.1.0.0 and not using the latest firmeware version (10E2), which is not supported by X-CTU 5.1.4.1 and instead the second latest version (10CD) on all XBee Modules.

Make sure there are no other xbee in the area !!

If I have a xbee switched on I cant set it up, I need to switch off any xbees in range
