Has anyone else noticed that android 4.1 and 4.4 aren't able to connect to the yun (access point mode) with a stable connection?
I have a feeling it has to do with not being able to find a WAN IP, a problem with android itself. not sure though, it's just my educated guess. I am curious if anyone else has this problem. I tried it on the LG Optimus F3, and the LG G2. Maybe it's just an LG thing? Everything of course works flawlessly from my laptop. I think the IPhone 5s can connect without a hitch, too.
I'm half tempted to go out an buy a nokia n900 or something. (any recommendations?)
I've never had issues about it. I've even hold a talk where I've invited attendees to connect to my Yun wifi and change the text printed by a led matrix
Maybe you want to try with another phone or reboot yours (mine sometimes demands that...
)
That sounds like a really fun interactive project! I'll have to try rebooting my phone, hopefully this works.
I've connected with my google nexus7 mkI with no issues, also SSH'd into the CLI using JuiceSSH on android.
I've a samsung s3 mini that I haven't tried, what is the signal strength indicator in android telling you?
Not all wifi antennae are born equal.
