I have a big problem with the latest release of the IDE
I’m not able to edit anything in there.
As you can see in the picture i’ve attached the editor window is cpmplete greyed out and i cannot edit.
What can i do here. I’ve already reinstalled the IDE.
- File > Preferences
- Uncheck the box next to "Use external editor"
- Click the "OK" button.
This feature is useful when you prefer to use some other text editor application over the editor built into the Arduino IDE. In this mode, the Arduino IDE is only used for installing boards platforms and libraries, compiling, and uploading.
since when is this a default setting?
Since never. The default setting is for "Use external editor" to be disabled.
