Problems with Yun WiFi and Ethernet. [Solved]

noblepepper:
To put linino back to where it was after the last sysupgrade (or when you got it out of the box if you haven't sysupgraded):
Load yunserialterminal
Open serial monitor, set line ending to newline
Push yun reset button (the one by the leds)
Put an "f" in the text box at the top of the serial monitor
Wait for the failsafe prompt, press enter
Run firstboot at the root@none prompt
Wait for AT LEAST 5 minutes.
Press yun reset again

Thanks for the response, i've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out! I will try this as soon as I can.

another option i heard was to use an external programmer to reflash. hopefully i can avoid spending another 20$ on something ill probably only use once....

OKay so update;

root@(none):/# /sbin/firstboot
[ 31.120000] JFFS2 notice: (528) jffs2_build_xattr_subsystem: complete building xattr subsystem, 0 of xdatum (0 unchecked, 0 orphan) and 0 of xref (0 dead, 0 orphan) found.

What's the point of waiting at least 5 minutes?

nvm; did a google search. it's common with flash to wait with low RAM so that setup files aren't lost in the RAM.
