Processing Serial Library

I have just begun to interface an Arduino to my desktop computer through Processing, and of course, I first wanted to establish the serial data flow between them. I find that if I send a string from Processing to the Arduino, the string seems to carry three termination non-printing symbols. If I send data from the Arduino to Processing, this doesn’t happen.

So is there an option in the Processing Serial library to turn this automatic termination off? I would much prefer to exactly control the data stream I send.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Use .print instead of .println so the carriage return/line feed characters are not sent.

I do not find a "print" function in the Processing Serial library. Only a "write" command. At any rate myPort.print(string) does not compile.

I would much prefer to exactly control the data stream I send.

I would much prefer to see your code. Doesn't look like either one of us is going to get what we want.
