Program help for power windows in car

Hi guys.
Im after a little help with programming an Arduino Uno.
The idea im after is to hold the ignition accessories on after the ignition key is turned off until the door is opened.
A lot of later model cars have this option and my last car did but my new car doesn't and im constantly having to turn the ignition back on to wind the windows up.
I have bought a starter kit a while ago and have been working through the tutorials and im thinking it's going to be a simple program but just need a little help with the program lingo.
So once the ignition is switched off, the arduino should provide 12v to a wire until it senses a 12v input from the interior light and then shuts off. Where do I start.
Cheers guys.

I'm thinking it won't. Need to be, that is.

So once the ignition is switched off, the arduino should provide 12v to a wire until it senses a 12v input from the interior light and then shuts off.

A stump-stupid relay could do that with no intelligence at all.

This is not a job for an Arduino.

It requires one automotive relay, a diode, a FET and a couple of resistors.

And a switch to disable the function.

So Arduino wouldn't be able to do it.
Any chance of a quick PM when you have a chance to throw me in the right direction.
