Programing between nodeMCU and Firebase

I have been using ESP8266 NodeMCU and firebase for controlling the robot. While Firebase Sending "W", the process is running. But in my case, cause I decided to use the app to control. By using app inventor, it can only be store the value ""W"".
I have been testing with using when firebase. getstring ""W"" but it is not working.
