Programmer not Responding

Hi,
This may be a stupid question (I'm new to Arduino) but I'm trying to upload a simple blinking LED test to my board but whenever I do I get this message.

How do I fix this? The arduino page they link to was no help at all. If its any help I think it might have to do with my serial port. The port reads "/dev/cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port" despite the fact that I'm using a standard Arduino Uno connected to my computer with a USB. Any advice? (Also I'm using the newest versions of the IDE on Mac OS X)

Zero response means that device is not reachable, not responding at all. There ar several reasons and each one was discussed here many times.
First, be sure you can see the Arduino as USB port on your OS and you are not using incorrect port. I am not familiar with Mac but I would have suspected "bluetooth" in port name. The UNO is not bluetooth device. Did you install correct driver?

I think so. I was able to upload a different code before the light test.
