Anybody have one of these?

I have an older one, 2011, Win107Pro won't recognize it, am looking for a replacement I can recommend. $4 seems like a deal, if they work.

I've uised ones that look like that without issue.

I recommend loading the PeterVH/bperrypap 5/18 firmware on them - it fixes the occasional issues getting the chip into programming mode.

These are the ones I use:

The logo that's blurred out on the picture says "Baite". I'm running Windows 7 Pro, 64 and 32 bit. The stock firmware is ok for most uses but with PeterVH/bperrybap's updated firmware installed on them I haven't found anything they can't do:

I'm using the libusbk driver installed using Zadig:

I couldn't make them work with Arduino's build of AVRDUDE 6.3 using the libusb-win32 driver that used to work fine with previous AVRDUDE versions.

You can get them in 10 pin but I have no use for the serial lines and prefer not to have to deal with an adapter.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. If I could get Win7 to recognize mine perhaps I could try that firmware. It's just an Atmega8A chip. Could use my press-fit adapter and load it I suppose.
