programming a fingerprint scanner with picaxe

I'm a student at a school which uses picaxe micro-controllers (20M2 chip) which can be programmed using the picaxe tool. For a school project, I'm trying to use the fingerprint scanner but I have no idea how to get it to communicate with my 20M2 chip. I'm looking for any advice that could help me incorporate a fingerprint scanner into my picaxe project.

EDIT: I've looked into posting this on picaxe forums but I have to be accepted by an administrator to be able to post. Also I've searched the internet about my problem and have had no luck. So I turned to arduino forums.

Waste of time posting questions about PICAXEs on the Arduino forum, the too different Microcontrollers are Worlds apart.

Just wait for your PICAXE account to be approved and ask questions there.
