Python is a dead end street, I believe. BASIC was easy too - and, far more sophisticated for its own purposes. Not to offend, but the truth is that watered-down Python is getting the reputation of being a cup-cake, whiner's language. The lament continues, "Oh, oh, oh... C++ is just too hard and we want a better, easy experience for beginners." NOTHING is easy. With simplicity comes loss of power and functionality. Nothing simple, in my lifetime of experience at least, has ever been very useful for solving more than simple problems. That, in a nutshell, is what I sense about Python and its variations. Time will tell.
