Hello, So here’s the question.
I have arduino mega 2560, I want it to use as ISP to program my atmega 8 chip(Without using External Clock).
Then i refer to this tutorial
which directs me to download addition file and keep it in arduino sketchbook folder.
So, it says boards should be available in Tools>Board menu. Indeed they are but not atmega 8 but only as : w/Atmega 32 and w/Atmega 16
while m neither using Atmega32 on board(Programmer) neither on chip(being programmed)
so its seems like dead end, and I am search for help.
Any One help…!!
"Arduino NG or older w/ ATmega8"
Check the fuse settings for your clock selection. Looks like it is set up for external 16 MHz source.
atmega8.name=Arduino NG or older w/ ATmega8
I didn't get it, how do I check the fuse settings :P.
Actually I may have forgot to mention that I am willing to program the Atmega 8 chip without using external clock, i Just want like I connect Arduino Mega to atmega 8 and just burn it with my program and wolah, atmega 8 now works like its been taken off from a arduino board.
atmega328bb.name=ATmega328 on a breadboard (8 MHz internal clock)
This was the code for arduino 328 in hardware software to use atmega 328 on breadboard without using ext. clock, can u send me a code for atmega 8 without using ext. clock thank youj
