Programming through Native port

Hey guys,

I am new to Arduino, unfortunately in my latest project i accidentally ripped the programming port of my Arduino. Ill probably try to solder it back on, however i was wondering if there was any way to upload a sketch through the native port.

I just tried to upload it through the native port, it failed on the first try. But once i tried again it worked. So just to clarify, apparently you can upload sketches through the native port. (I'm now glad i got the due!)

you can program from either port.

in the Arduino IDE, go to tools/boards, and select "Arduino DUE (native USB port)".

the communication protocol is different between the native USB port and the programming port. Always select the port that you are using.
