Hi All. What is the most reliable method of programming Arduinos ? I have 2 x Pro Micro (32U4), 2 x Micro, 2 x USBASP(32U4), and an ATMEGA. Currently, the MEGA is the only one that will talk to my PC (Ubuntu). The Pro micros and the Micro did work, programed directly from USB, the USBASPs, never. I HATE debugging my equipment, I want to do some actual development !
Via the USB is the most reliable till you blow the boot loader.
What went wrong with the 32U4 based boards?
No idea about the USBASP.
32U4 seemed temperamental from the start. Sometimes I could upload, then it would stop, then do it again for no apparent reason. Presently, Port is greyed out. For direct connection, what programmer type should be tagged ?
i think I will try to use the MEGA as a programmer, need to find out the connectivity between the boards.

So what does your operating think of those boards?
