I wish to update the firmware on my board that users have in the field. Is it possible to do this with a precompiled binary so I do not show the users of my board my source code?
You may find out how to get that if you want to be the jerk who uses open source software and free help to keep something close source ![]()
Or if you use this search phrase in a browser search bar, you get other ideas:
site: forum.arduino.cc hide code

I am NOT being a jerk. If people want my code I will give it to them when it is finished. I am just interested in keeping things simple at this point for them. All the same, I do appreciate your help so thank you.
EDIT: For other interested in doing the same, the Hobby Electronics link is dead.
Than I'm sorry, does not sound like that from the post.
In that case Xloader might be easier. Although giving them the ino might be nearly as easy. Except is you use tons of libraries.
