Hello,

I have beeen doing this project in a fake bus, in the bus these is a big screen.
The idea was that we would start the film with a PIR sensor connected with the arduino UNO on a Raspberry Pi.
But because me and my teammates have no experience with those systems the project got kind of stuck on the programming. We found some codes on the internet and tried those.
Bus the system just doesn't work.
The film is located on a USB-drive connected with the Raspberry Pi. and has to start playing as soon as the PIR sensor registers a person in the bus.
Our deadline is closing in fast, so every help is welcome

Hi Groove,

We use arduino IDE'
We us VLC as our mediaplayer on a raspberry pi 2
unfortunally the code that we had has been deleted because it didn't work I:
We are the definition of Noobs on this subject.

So what's the interface between the pi and the Arduino?
(Why even bother with an Arduino?)
(If I were ever to have code that doesn't work, I'd save it and try to fix it. Deleting it sounds . . . suspicious)

Hi Groove,

When we started the project we didn't know anything about those sytems and we heard from others that this combination should work.
I honestly don't know why he deleted it, i will try to get the code we used but i don't know if this is possible(we got very irritated when it didn't word so we deleted it).
And we tried to fix the code by looking on the internet for solutions but we weren't able to fix it.
