I am creating a vanity mirror for my girlfriend for her birthday.
I have already wired together a strip of lights. 16 bulbs all together around a mirror. The lights are now dimmable but I was thinking about different ways to have it turn on and off with her voice. I thought, duh, an arduino! Except I never learned how to use an arduino for this purpose. Is this possible? If so, do you have any suggestions or videos I could watch in order to do so?
Haha. Vanity mirror. Could do a lot. Do You think of each bulb being individualy addressable? Your Project could do just anything.
As Delta_G is a very experienced member his suggestion should to be regarded.
What supply voltage do the bulbs use? Mains? I hope not. Electrical hazard is not what You want to expose Your beloved to. Using 12 volt, or less bulbs, or LEDs, is more safe. Whatever You need drivers, current amplifiers.
it's a cute idea. Keep it simple and get something working! Claååing, touching.. much easier then voice exploration. Decibel detection could be a possible sond task "clap".
