I usually package my projects when finished, the hardest part is to get a good looking front panel. I was thinking of using CRICUT to cut them out of adhesive vinyl and attach to the front. It would need to be done in reverse. Example white panel with black lettering. Paint the panel black and use white vinyl. Any advice on this? I use Linux not windows.
I've used adhesive-backed clear laser printer labels to do that. Big sections of black can have pinholes with laser printers. Maybe an inkjet would do a better job?

Yes, that works well.
I now use 3” double stick carpet tape; has proven to be more resilient.
