Im in the middle of creating a product but trying to find the best feasible option available.
The product idea is a headphone ie like the apple kind that can recognise music and change color accordingly to the beat
I have no electronic knowledge whatsoever and wanted to know if this could be done
Maybe through an app for any smartphone, or if something will have to be imbedded or connected to the led/flashing material used in the headphones
Any suggestions would be great i have an idea but no knowledge on how to convert this to reality. (even if it is a stupid idea)
Cheers for any help possible
Steve
Anyone able to help at all? Any information on if arduino is usable in my application to control the lighting from either an app or a motherboard/chip set into the earphones?
Cheers
Steve

Possibly by someone with appropriate experience and knowledge, but probably not soon by somebody just getting started.
Even if i can get pointed in the right direction.
When i comes to business i have plenty of knowledge but not in the electronic industry.
Thank s for your help mate im sure ill just keep on asking people if they know of any technology that can do what i need it to do
Cheers
Steve

Anything is possible no doubt, but personally I wouldn't be attempting it, and I've dabbled in electronics most of my life, and programmed almost all of it.
You have a number of issues, "recognise music" is one of them, and fitting inside a headphone is another.
However there is a possibility, Google:
arduino fft spectrum analyzer
There are quite a few posts about that, and basically people have indeed done some sort of coloured reaction to music. YouTube videos even. That might help you down your path.
