Project problem in testing

hello,
I am working on a project to control three servo motors, one stepper motor, and two water pumps with the Arduino board. I bought a 12V 20A transformer as the external power supply (I calculate the total current required is 15A so I bought a 20A ). So my problem here, I am wondering if is there any method to test the water pump separately with this huge amount of current which may destroy my circuit. Or should I buy another power supply with only 6A to test my water pump alone?

water pump: 12V 6A
servo motor : 4.8v-7v ( less than 1A)
stepper motor: 3.3V 1.5A

Thanks a lot!

Without a schematic we can't answer this.

No.

Take the water pump OUT of your circuit and wire it directly to the power supply. The pump will draw only the current it needs, NOT the total amount of current that supply might be able to supply. Be sure to have water in the pump before testing as they usually use water for lubrication of the seals.
