Project to turn power off and on remotely via GSM

Hello

I am new to Arduino.

I look after IT infrastructure for a company.

We have many remote sites and basic L1 trouble shooting steps requires an onsite visual look at the Router, Switch and Firewall in our network cabinets, followed by a hard reboot of the devices before we call the service provider.

We rely on users onsite but this is always troublesome as many feel its not their job or it could be a challenge given the cabinets position or the confidence of the user.

I know there are many things on the market that could do this, but at what cost?

I know this can be done but I just need to know what parts will be needed to get started?

Ill try figure the rest out as I learn

I have attached some high level drawings to get the idea across

Is it possible? What boards am I missing on my logical diagram? Is anyone aware of similar projects that I could learn from?

I will sort the electrics our with an Electrician

I don't really like posting ads for myself i threads - but take a look at THIS LINK in Australia if it's convenient.

Something to keep in mind is recovery state after mains failure etc.

Australia is very far for me but you have designed something very interesting and I will explore it to learn

We will start on our design next month, the electricians from the engineering department will help me with the electrics and I will start working on the controller integration.
