can any one help me how to interface camera with arduino please provide coding

No one can help you do the impossible.

sure he can, with enough duct tape, anything is possible. :slight_smile:

You need to provide a lot more information.

What camera?
What sort of computer interface is on the camera?
What do you want the Arduino to do?
etc

This is a forum for helping you write programs. If you want someone else to write the program you need to ask in the Gigs and Collaborations section and be prepared to pay.

...R

If you feel like doing a little reading on the subject. For the following I'm assuming you haven't chosen a camera, or if you have that it's an OV7670 module, (since as Robin points out, you provided absolutely no information). :-

How to use OV7670 Camera Module with Arduino?

If you search "OV7670 Arduino", you'll get heaps of results. Not sure about other cameras - this is the one most often talked about in Arduino circles.

Also this search in Google:- "OV7670 site:http://forum.arduino.cc"

this is camera model OV7670 and i want to interface is with ardunio mega board i have a problem in coding

What do you mean by "interface"? What do you want the Arduino to do? Perhaps writing more than one or two sentences is needed here. Maybe you should be a little more verbose and descriptive and tell us what you really want.

sir i want to take pictures with camera OV7670 using arduino board but i have a problem in programming to use camera with arduino mega

is it possible to transmit a live video using arduino mega through Wi-Fi for the range of about 10m ?

You've given us no more information than you did in previous posts, despite having been asked to elaborate.

  • Is it the version of the OV7670 with onboard AL422 FIFO?
  • Are you using an SD card?
  • Do you want still pictures or video?
  • How do you plan to display the image(s)?
  • Can you please show a schematic diagram of your connections?
  • Can you please show us the code you've tried, and tell us what the problems with it are?
  • Did you read through the forum thread and Instructable that I linked, and also check out the other search phrases?

Are you getting my meaning? ie We need far more information.

Why didn't you mention in your other thread that this is what you're trying to do. We've continually asked for more information which you haven't provided.

I think this qualifies as a cross-post. That's not allowed here.

You didn't need to start a new thread. It only confuses things.

Please answer the questions that have been asked in your original thread, as well as adding the information that you provided here.

i want to use the arduino in a project under the title of "wi-fi enable smart door bell" which involve the live video transmission? please search on youtube you will find this project videos

the camera i want to use detail is given

yes i want to use sd card
currently i want still pictures only
i want to display images when external interrupt is occur
i tried the code shown below
#include <VC0706.h>
#include <SD.h>
#include <SoftwareSerial.h>
SoftwareSerial cameraconnection = SoftwareSerial(2, 4);
Adafruit_VC0706 cam =“Adafruit_VC0706”;
if
(cam.begin())
{
Serial.println(“Camera found:”);
}
else
{
Serial.println(“Camera not found !”);
return;
}
cam.SetImageSize(VC0706_640x480);
delay(3000);
if
(! cam.takePicture())
Serial.println(“Failed to snap!”);
else
Serial.println(“Picture taken!”);
}

and the error i face is
‘Adafruit_VC0706’ does not name a type

and this error occur in 4th line of above program i.e Adafruit_VC0706 cam =“Adafruit_VC0706”;

Perhaps you should take a good look at the examples, and maybe even try one, before trying to write your program. (And take note of what MalharD just said.)

// Using SoftwareSerial (Arduino 1.0+) or NewSoftSerial (Arduino 0023 & prior):
#if ARDUINO >= 100
// On Uno: camera TX connected to pin 2, camera RX to pin 3:
//SoftwareSerial cameraconnection = SoftwareSerial(2, 3);
// On Mega: camera TX connected to pin 69 (A15), camera RX to pin 3:
SoftwareSerial cameraconnection = SoftwareSerial(69, 3);  // *** I guess you'll be wanting this one. ***
#else
NewSoftSerial cameraconnection = NewSoftSerial(2, 3);
#endif
.
.
.
Adafruit_VC0706 cam = Adafruit_VC0706(&cameraconnection);

That looks just a tad different to:-

SoftwareSerial cameraconnection = SoftwareSerial(2, 4);
Adafruit_VC0706 cam ="Adafruit_VC0706";

Why should WE look on YouTube?
You need to do the groundwork, which it is painfully obvious you haven't.

Once you have a requirement, do some comprehensive research... buy a working product off the shelf, or come here, and ask what you need - if you don't know.

Simply assuming camera (a), and processor (b) will do everything you want, then buying those parts - is a really bad starting point.

and the error i face is
'Adafruit_VC0706' does not name a type

This is because you have not installed the library correctly, if indeed at all.
