"Projector" from SSD1306 Oled?!

Hi there!

I thought about a project and wondered if this could be possible somehow.

For a project it would be awesome to "project" information on a wall.

Requirements:

  • Graphical display say like 128x64 pixel
  • Projecting surface distance max. 1-2m
  • The environment is allways dark (not 0% light, but dark) so no need to be seen in high light conditions. The wall is white so it would support the low light.

My first thought was to place mirrors and lenses or something like that so eg. an SSD1306 128x64 OLED can be projected but of course the light intensity is way to low to. Furthermore a projector normally need to pass a strong light source "through" some kind of blocking mechanism to project something right?! So im stuck here too.

Any ideas how to achieve some kind of a "mini projector"?

I just did some research and came up with "smartphone shoebox projectors".

Maybe Im going to experiment a bit with this approach but If you have a better idea dont hesitate to jot it donw here :wink:
